Venus is kindda shy…

Watching the Transit of Venus

…is one of those little things that remind me life is good.

Ver el paso del planeta Venus

…es una de esas pequeñas cosas que me hacen recordar lo buena que es la vida.

Today (June 5 and 6, depending on where you are) is the last time in about 100 years when we will be able to see Venus passing across the face of the Sun.

This transit of Venus happens in pairs, each time separated by eight years, and then it waits more than a century to happen again. This alignment of the Earth, Venus and Sun has helped calculate the distance between the Earth and the Sun.

Assuming none of us will live to see December of 2117, watching the transit of Venus today is an opportunity I was happy not to miss.
